This? Overview SERIES II CARDS UPDATE!
ESTIMATED PRODUCTION NUMBERS
Retired Cards (Odds 1:5 packs) There are 15 Retired Cards. These cards appear in the "Portrait" (Vertical) format vs the "Landscape" (Horizontal) format of Series 1 cards. There are 4 different levels of these cards: Blue, Green, Silver, and Gold. It appears that there will only be 100 Gold cards for each card. The level of card is determined by the color of the Retried Emblem in the lower left corner. The hardest to find in this group appears to be Rex, Ally, Chops, and Bumble.
Birthday Rookie Cards There are 24 Birthday/Rookie Cards. These cards appear in the "Portrait" (Vertical) format vs the "Landscape" (Horizontal) format of Series 1 cards. There are 4 different levels of these cards: Blue, Green, Silver, and Gold. It appears that there will only be 100 Gold cards for each card. The level of card is determined by the color of the the beanies name. The hardest to find in this group appears to be Peanut, Caw, Nip, Smoochy, and Snip.
Common Cards There are 100 Common cards. Although it was reported that some of these cards are repeats from Series One Cards, it appears that some cards do have the same "Beanie" name, but are actually different versions of that beanie (ie Zip with white paws vs Zip all black, rainbow/Iggy versions etc.) These cards appear in the "Landscape" (Horizontal) format just as the Series 1 cards and appear to be in the same format as the Series I cards. Mel and Millenium both have the same card number, #196. No cards have been found with numbers 195 or 217. Were these numbers "skipped" or will some "rare" card show up with these numbers.

This? My Predictions BEFORE Series II Came out. Series II cards (Series 2) are the 2nd edition of the Ty Trading cards. Orders for the last of the Series I cards (Premier Edition) were taken in December 1998, and shipped in January 1999. Series II cards are supposed to be showing up in March 1999. We will update this page with all the news of the Series II cards as soon as it becomes available. Series II cards will not include the "Clear Original 9" cards. Instead, they will include some "Rare" Bear cards. The odds of these cards are 1:50 packs instead of odds of 1:117 packs for the Original 9 cards. This will make it easier for someone to get a "Hard-to Find" card, but will likely result in a lower value for those cards. The odds of the Birthday and Retired cards will change as well. Birthday cards will be slightly harder to get with their odds increasing from 1:2 packs to 1:3 packs, while the Retired cards will get slightly easier with the odds decreasing from 1:7 packs to 1:5 packs. What will happen to the Series I retired cards? I would expect they are "retired" and will not be repeated in Series II cards. I would also expect that some of the common cards from series I may become "Retired" in Series II. Birthday/Rookie Cards from Series I to move to being a common card (or retired). New beanies, or ones that weren't previously used in Series I will likely show up as Birthday/Rookie cards. Series II Trading cards ODDS!
